Daniel Cormier
Daniel Cormier has had a globally successful career in wrestling and is a former UFC light heavyweight champion, Olympic wrestler as well as an official ambassador of Alta. With decades of experience, Daniel works closely to develop and deliver the Alta Warrior Training Program Syllabus. He is also an Alta Academy coach covering all things Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts through his courses.
John Kavanagh
John Kavanagh is a world class Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) coach, widely recognized for his coaching of UFC champion Conor McGregor. John is the co-founder and global head coach at Alta, sharing over two decades of experience with martial artists around the world. John is passionate about teaching and mentoring those who are wanting to learn MMA, emphasizing that the Alta training program gives anyone the ability to become the best version of themselves.
Laura Sanko
Laura Sanko is an ex-professional MMA fighter, working with ESPN and the UFC as a broadcaster. Laura is an Alta ambassador, working with the Alta team and coaches to endorse the growth of the martial arts industry. Through her experience as a female MMA competitor, Laura recognizes the barriers to entry in martial arts and works with Alta to decrease these.
Eugene Bareman
Eugene Bareman, a longstanding partner of Alta and head coach at City Kickboxing in Auckland, New Zealand, began as an amateur kickboxer in 2001, venturing into mixed martial arts in 2006 and participating in 48 fights by 2018. In 2007, alongside Doug Viney, he founded City Kickboxing, and in 2018, their fighters Israel Adesanya and Dan Hooker achieved notable success. Following UFC championship victories in 2019, Bareman and City Kickboxing were named Coach of the Year and Gym of the Year by MMAJunkie.com.
